System Repeater Locations
The Montana Repeater Link Association is a group of repeaters supported by several operators. The repeaters are normally linked full time. They are located in Pompeys Pillar, Billings, Greycliff, Bozeman, Three Forks, Helena and Great Falls Montana.
Donations
Donations to the Montana Repeater Link Association can be given to Allan (KF7FW) or Lyndel (N7LT). We suggest a donation of 25.00 per year, but will gladly accept any amount. It costs about $1,500.00 per year to currently maintain the system. Upgrades and additions are considered after that amount is meet. If you use the system, we encourage you to help support it.
The donations are Tax Deductible, as MRLA is an 501c3 non-profit organization that is registered with the state of Montana and is in good standing. Equipment Donations are accepted to further the network and maintain operations. Contact Allan (KF7FW) or Lyndel (N7LT) for further information.
Etiquette
As this system covers most of Montana, please be courteous of others that may be wanting to use the system, frequently leaving time for breaks, and limiting conversations to no more than 15 minutes during the heavier usage times - it is improper to monopolize the system at any time. Keep in mind that it takes a good portion of a second for all of the various links to 'come up', so be sure to pause for a few seconds when you allow for breaks, and key up for about a second before you say your first word.
